"Waterbury, Vermont - November 2, 1943 - Katherine Agnes Flynn, widow of James Flynn, died this afternoon following an operation in a Burlington hospital, where she was taken a week ago today. Mrs. Flynn had always lived in this vacinity. She was born October 15, 78 years ago.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. William Deal, who has made her home with her mother; three sons, Paul, Malone, NY; Bernard, Pittsburg, CA; & James, Everett, MA; & 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services wil be held Friday at 9 a.m. in St. Andrew's Catholic Church with interment in the family plot, Holy Cross cemetery. The V.I. Perkins company of Waterbury is in charge of funeral arrangements."

"Waterbury, Vermont - November 7, 1943 - Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine Flynn were held Friday, November 5 at 9 in St. Andrew's Catholic Church. Reverend John Dwyer officiated at the requiem mass. The bearers were P.J. Flannery, Robert Eagan, Edward Maloney, B.J. Keefe, William Quinn, and M.L. Thibault.

Those from out of town to attend the services included: Mr & Mrs J.J. Flynn of Everett, MA; PFC J.J. Flynn, Jr of Camp Claiborne, LA; Mr & Mrs Paul Flynn of Malone, NY; M.G. Leary, Thomas Leary & Mrs C.J. Collins of Burlington, VT; Floyd Durochie, William D. Bell & W.P. Gleason of Malone, NY; friends & co-workers of Paul Flynn; Mr & Mrs G.B. Savery, C.A. O'Neill, J.B. O'Neill & Mrs Ralph Garipay of White River Junction, VT; Mr & Mrs Ameda Bleau of Richmond, VT and Mrs Marie Hayes of Middlesex, VT. Burial was made in the family plot in Holy Cross cemetery."

She later worked at Vincent's Pharmacy and aided the Hunger Mountain Day Caare. She was a member of St. Andrew's Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mary (Mrs. Richard) Lemery, Martha (Mrs. Roger) Fraser and Susan (Mrs. Edward) Rau; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews."
