In his will, Richard spells the town where he died as Woubourne, county of Middlesex, in the State of Massachusetts colony in New England.
It is believed, but yet to be authenticated, that he sailed on 20 Nov 1635 from Gravesend England for Barbados on the ship Expedition, and that he was a native of Barnstable, England. It has also been suggested that Patrick Snow and Marie Sweete were his parents. They were married in Barnstable on 26 June 1600 which would be compatable to Richards birth, but there several other Richard Snows who married and settled in Barnstable and we need the proof that the Barnstable Richard is the same as the Woburn Richard Snow.
According to the shippng list he was 28 yrs old at the time of immigration.
Note on page 667 of the genealogy of the Snows etitled "valiant in the Faith" , one genealogist claims that this Richard is definitely not the son of Patrick and Marie (Sweet) Snow.
