Married a Menard-Mongeon.AN ARTICALE WRITTEN BY GENEVIEV'S DAUGHTER, CEIL in May 1986 IN MEMORY OF the late Genevieve C. Menard-Mongeon on the anniversary of her birthday.
"May is here again. Beautiful May time. Come with me and we'll go picking May flowers, some cow slips too, and violets, Mom. Mom, look! Look at the lawn, it's filled with the wild violets you and I planted ywars ago. Aren't they lovely? Come with me, Mom --- it's your birthday --- come pick violets with me like we used to do. Mom.......? But Mom is picking violets in God's garden now and I can no longer hear her voice, only the loud silence of memories." Happy Birthday, Mom Darling.
Married a Menard.THIS WAS SENT TO ME BY DELORIS HALL.--------------- ROSE MENARD: What a special lady she was. I would like to take a cencus and get all of your opinions. We would all say the same. If you pland a party, and wanted someone their to keep the spirits high, then you better invite Rose. Because she could turn your bad day! into a day worth Living. The great amazement was her age, because turning 80 did not mean a thing to Rose. Put a dance floor by her and she could have danced all night. She was a member of The Daughters of Isabelle, a Carholic organization for women. A Blue Star Mother, and the list can go on. A very active young lady she was. A good ten years befor Rose passed away, she went through her pictures, and if you were in the picture, or had some kind of a connection, she would mail you the pictures. I recall getting a picture of my Dad and Rose, riding in a horse and buggy. She said my Dad was about the age of eighteen. My parents lost all of their old pictures in a home fire so it was special getting my Dad at that age.
