A Double Classman and Professor of Astronomy.
First Headmaster of The Grammer School, Townsville ,Queensland for 12 years followed in 1901 by appointment for ten years to Sydney Church of England Grammer School at North Sydney from where he was forced to resign due to ill health (tuberculosis). After some time in convalescence at 'The Hermitage'purchased in Orange NSW he passed away.
