Iowa State death certificate states place of death as Lyons, Iowa., thefull name of decedent as Byron Alfred Dimes (sic), male, white, married,date of birth November 4, 1864 Ohio, occupation, Mason, name of Father,John Dimes (sic), birth place of Father unknown, maiden name of Mother,Julia Jillett (sic), birth place of Mother unknown, Informant andaddress: Mrs. Alfred Dimes (sic) Lyons Iowa. Date of death, October28th, 1918, Cause of death, Dropsy.Byron and Flora Dines changed their last name to Dimes, (sic) becauseFlora Dines was not Divorced from Charles Henry Burgett at this time.
NOTE: The birth date for Byron Alfred Dines is 11-08-1867, but the DeathCertificate show birth date as 11-04-18681870 Russell Ohio census shows Byron Alfred Dines age 3 years. i.e. 1867
I have not been able to locate a birth certificate for Byron Alfred Dines.Briar Hills Cemetery, Russell Ohio, there is a marker stone with Byron
engraved on it, it is near his parents grave stone, this is probably amemorial stone marker only.
Byron's Dines and his son Alfred Leroy Dines grave sites are located inOakland Cemetery, Clinton Iowa, Block 20, Lot 18,
sites #1 and #3, and do not have any stone markers. This is a very oldsection of cemetery.

Flora (Flory) Meretta (May) Dines is the daughter of Joseph Dines, who isthe son of
William Dines Sr, who is a brother to John Dines Sr.
